Who is Dave the Nerd???
So you want to know who Dave the Nerd is? Well what can I tell you about the nerd that you might not already know. Well lets see if this helps. I was born in 1981 and spend a good chunk of my life living down south. I keep telling people that I am a southern gentleman that is just transplanted into the wrong area of the country. I have spent the last 20+ years in Wyandotte Michigan. If you do not know how to pronounce the name of the city think of this (Y N Dot). It is located roughly about 5 miles south of Detroit.
I am getting slightly a head of myself right now. I started learning music theory and playing music at the age of four. Which is actually about the same time I started playing Role Playing Games (RPGs). I did not get into video games until a few years later, being as I got my first Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987. I have always been huge into music and listening to anything and everything. And if you saw my CD collection, Vinyl collection, or mp3 collection you would either be scared or totally understand the insanity that is me. I also have always been a huge vidiot. This mean I am a huge movie and television show buff. Although I do not watch much television cause I cannot stand commercials.
Alright back to where I was going to go. I graduated high school in 2000, and went right into college. Although I had been duel enrolling for a few years before. Due to family medical issues I had to drop out. But while I dropped out I started to get involved with a local community theatre group. And yes I spell theatre the traditional English way with the 're' instead of the modernized American version with the 'er'. I also had started my own DJ company in 1998 and ran it until 2006. I slowly converted it to a jack of all trades business, since I consider myself a jack of all trades master of none. And one of those trades was web design, of which I am self taught. Growing up people always would say I was too smart for my own good. And whenever we would play Trivia Pursuit no one wanted to play against me. It turned out useless information, music lyrics, and movie quotes took up the vast majority of my brain.
In 2016 I graduated with my Bachelors in Information Technology and Security (BITS). I work full time in the IT field. I also am working on my Master's Degree in Elementary Education. And I sit here coding this website and writing the episode of my podcast which are the bases of this website. If you would like to know anything else, feel free to email and ask me.
